PROJECT SCOPE:

The BWRO Desalination Plant at Qatar Foundation Education City project is a project that Protec awarded to iTech to cover all BIM requirements of the project during the design and construction phases. This has involved iTech working closely with the design consultants to complete the LOD-300 works and with the main contractor in finalizing a construction issue model and all associated shop drawings.

This Plant, with 8,294.00 m2 and four (4) levels, is designed to desalinate at a maximum capacity of 16.000 m3 / day. The Plant consists of two (2) buildings (RO and ZLD) surrounded by one (1) common façade. Due to the nature of this building, there is a high density of MEP networks and services required to be fully coordinated through BIM inside of the simple industrial envelope.
